Our Kuroki F91 wheels range in weight between 15lbs-21lbs per wheel.

SF and SF Challenge between 15lbs-25lbs

Coilover Install Instructions:

We are working on building a reference library for our install guides/tips, follow this LINK to our Install Guide Library.

Spring pre-load

Spring pre-load is when you compress the spring via the spring perches before the vehicle weight or load is applied to the suspension. Positive or negative spring pre-load is not recommended for any of our damper kits and will void warranty.

Noisy damper

There are a few things that could be causing this:

  • Make sure that the spring pre-load is properly adjusted to zero.

  • Check and make sure that all bushings are not damaged, or missing.

  • Check to make sure that all nuts, bolts, and locking rings are accounted for and tightened properly.

  • Check the damper cartridge for any fluid to ensure the cartridge is not damaged.

  • Make sure that the other suspension components are not binding or reaching their travel limits. If everything checks out and the problems still persist please give us a call where so we can connect you with our technician.

Suspension rough ride

Most likely the spring pre load was incorrectly adjusted or strut height may be to high or low.

Camber adjustment

Factory suspension has been preset by the vehicle manufacturer and normally non adjustable. Anytime you lower or raise a vehicle the suspensions geometry changes. This will most likely require an aftermarket camber kit to bring it back into factory specs.

How do I adjust the ride height of my Buddyclub coil over?

Ride height is adjusted by raising and lowering the shock body assembly and not by adjusting the spring perch.

How low can I go?

When speaking in terms of performance handling, lower is not always better. Our damper kits were created for the best ride height ranges while allowing the other various suspension components to perform properly, creating more predictable and better handling characteristics.

Generally our kits are adjustable from .5-3.5 inches

Can I keep stock height when I install my damper kit?

Our damper kits come with a minimum one inch drop

Locking rings

If to much pre load is applied then there may be to much pressure asserted to the upper locking ring. This can cause premature wear on the threads which can overtime cause it to loosen. There may also not have been enough force applied when locking the rings together. A good rule of thumb is to always check and retighten anytime you have the wheels off.

What is the difference between the different Buddyclub dampers?

N+/D1dampers come with a solid upper mount and 38mm valving. RSD come with 45mm valving pillow ball mounts, upper camber plates(where applicable) more aggressive spring rates, and upgraded bushings

What is the difference between the upper mount and a pillow ball mount?

Our N+ dampers come with a solid two piece upper mount with rubber bushings. The pillow ball replaces the rubber bushings with a spherical bearing which allows the damper to move much more freely.

Do the N+/D1 dampers come with the pillow ball?

No, only the Racing Spec and Racing Spec EVO Dampers.

Which coilovers come with camber plates?

Racing Spec Only for the following chassis:

  • Honda: DC5/EP3/ 06-11 Civic Si

  • Toyota: SW20 and Scion TC

  • Mitsubishi: EVO 8/9/10

Why should I get the Racing Spec Dampers instead of the N+/D1?

Our N+/D1 dampers were developed for the daily driver/ weekend racer in mind. Our RSD’s was created for the vehicle that spends more time on the track.

What are the spring rates?

Please click on this link to see a list of spring rates by application.

Can I change the springs on my damper kit to a different rate?

We recommend to go +/- 2k. Anything else can result in accelerated wear of the strut and will void our warranty.

Dampening knob

Clockwise to harden, counter-clockwise to soften

How do I replace the adjustment knob?

Follow this link to see directions and tips.

What do the different knobs adjust (RSD EVO)?

The knob on top of the damper unit is for rebound. The large knob on the external reservoir is for low speed bump and the small knob is for high speed bump.

Can I purchase replacement parts for my suspension?

We carry replacement parts for almost all of our products and they are available for purchase directly, give us a call at 909-923-9188 to order.

Exhaust leak

On occasion the slip fittings will leak slightly upon first install. The metal may sometimes need some time to expand and contract to fit perfectly snug.

Check engine light

Most of our products are designed for race vehicles and should not be used on public roads. Some of our exhaust components are “race only” and will cause a check engine light.

What are the inner diameters of the spec 2/3/Pro spec exhaust systems?

Please follow this link. If your application is not listed give us a call.

Secure timer not working

Make sure that all wires are connected properly and the vehicle has a good 12v source. Also make sure that the security feature has not been activated, this would not allow the vehicle to start. If problems persist please call.

What exactly does the Racing Spec condenser do?

The Racing Spec Condenser II is voltage stabilizer and hyper grounding kit. Please see the RS Condenser page on our website

What are the specifications of the Buddyclub Spec 3+/ Spec IV/ Spec V camshafts?

Every cam comes with a cam spec sheet. If you have lost, misplaced it, or are just curious, the information can be found in our camshaft section of our website.

Will I need to upgrade my valve train if I install Buddyclub Racing Spec Camshafts?

Upgrading the valve train is always recommended, but not always necessary. Anytime you increase the compression of the engine you must upgrade the valve train.

Are the P-1 Racing Valves oversized?

Our P-1 Racing Valves are standard size.

Seat rail lock

Make sure that the adjustment bar linkage is not bent. Make sure that there are no obstructions or debris in the sliders and make sure the adjuster bar moves freely up and down.

What size BuddyClub Seat is the right fit for me?

Follow this link to the seat measurement chart.

Are seats FIA approved?

No, they are not.

Are seat rails double locking

Yes they are.

Short shifter height

Our short shifter kits a designed to be as close to stock fitment and height as possible.

My Buddyclub Seat has some rips in it; can I buy a replacement cover for it?

The seat skins are not available for purchase separately.

What fabric is the Racing Spec Sport Seat made with?

Suede like micro-fiber.

Can I purchase replacement stickers for my Buddyclub wheels?
